With python-mode.el each block mightmay have anit's own length of indent-step., i.e. the value py-indent-offsetof py-indent-offset.

py-smart-indentation must be on.

However, whenWhen introducing a new block, itthe desired indentation needs to be set/correct on the first indented line. With the next line, the new distance should behave been learned.
