I want to create clickable image links in the org buffer, as described here

One application would be to insert a clickable screen grab from a move, which, on click, opens the movie file in its default application.

I have tried using the syntax:

[[file:movie.mp4][file:screengrab.png]]

But running 'org-inline-preview' just displays "file:screengrab.mp4" and not the actual image.

Any ideas?

I want to create clickable image links in org-mode. This would be equivalent to:

<a href="path-to-file">
   <img src="path-to-image">
</a>

Currently, I can display inline image previews just fine, with [[path-to-image]] followed by org-toggle-inline-images. What I would like to do now, is add support for [[path-to-file][path-to-image]].

Any ideas?

I have read here that image links are now supported for export to html from orgmode. So

#+ATTR_HTML: title="Google.com"
[[https://www.google.com][file:http://www.google.com/images/srpr/logo4w.png]]

But when I run org-toggle-inline-images I don't see the image... just the link to the image file... Do I need to configure something in init.el for this to work? Or is it only supported for html export?
