Emacs 25.3.1, Org 9.1.13 from GNU ELPA.

I'm using the Library of Babel to store some code blocks that I frequently use. I incorporate them into my workflow just fine with

#+CALL: some_lob_function()

Just now is the first time I’ve tried to export some of these blocks, and for the life of me I can’t manage to export the code. I’m using

#+CALL: some_lob_function() :exports code

but not seeing anything in the output.

I expected it to give the same result as if I had put the original block at the same spot in the buffer. For sake of example, suppose the original block in my Library of Babel file looks like this:

#+NAME: some_lob_function
#+BEGIN_SRC emacs-lisp :exports code
    (+ 1 2 3)
#+END_SRC
