I upgrades Ubuntu to 19.04, and it appears that the default font in Emacs has changed. Is it just me, or is it an Ubuntu/Debian change? Or has there been a change upsteram?

Also, what is the name of the new font and the previous font?

The splash screen says This is GNU Emacs 26.1 (build 2, x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 3.24.7) of 2019-04-11, modified by Debian

(face-attribute 'default :font) should give you the string with the current default font. If you have access to the older version, you can use this to compare. – DoMiNeLa10 May 28 '19 at 18:39
