Apparently anaconda-mode provides eldoc support on remote files, but it kinda breaks TRAMP if the remote file name contains an ssh alias (TRAMP will keep reconnecting over and over).

It is important to remember that remote_host must be a real host name or an IP address. SSH aliases not allowed to be used with anaconda-mode.

Because I generally connect to remote files via the helm find files interface, I was wondering whether helm could expand the alias so that the remote_host is a real name. For example /ssh:remote: would expand to /ssh:user@remoteserver.com, based on what is stored on my .ssh/config or TRAMP proxy config.

Has anyone ever had this problem or come across something similar? Is it possible to have TRAMP expand remote hosts?
