In Org tables, I often use M-<RET> to wrap a long line in a column, at whichever place in the sentence I feel it needs to be wrapped. This sets a particular width to the column.

Now sometimes I put some text below such a wrapped sentence, and this text may not be wrapped in the same way (for example, copy-pasted text may have a smaller wrapping width than the one I defined in this column). Wrapping is not automatic in Org tables (see this question), and using backspace to attempt to rewrap a sentence obviously only deletes characters without rewrapping.

Is there a way to wrap a line in a column so that its width matches the width imposed by the text above this line?

I tried M-q as I usually do for text paragraphs, but it doesn't work there.
