I'm korean, and I use english / korean while editing in emacs
I mainly used terminal based emacs (emacs -nw) and in there, I can do basic navigation (such as C-e for move to end) in any language I'm at.
But strangely same C-e
doesn't work in regular emacs (with windows not terminals) when I'm on Korean.
I'm on mac and I switch languages via switching input sources provided by Mac preference setting.
C-h k
followed by the key chord that's not working. It should show you what the key is bound to (if it managed to receive it). My guess would be though that your desktop manager assigns something to this key combination, so that Emacs never even receives it. You'd probably have to look into your dm configuration to see what this combination is assigned to, and assign another key to that function. – wvxvw Sep 13 '20 at 6:50
