I am using a Mac 10.9.5 and Emacs 24.4, installed with macports and aliased as
alias emacs /Applications/MacPorts/Emacs.app/Contents/MacOS/Emacs
At the moment, when I have an emacs file open and I hit
Cmd-N, emacs opens a replicate of the file already open. I am wondering if there is a way to modify the .emacs file so I can open new, Untitled empty files by using
Cmd-N, like when using Aquamacs or MacVim.
In addition, when using aquamacs or MacVim,
Cmd-T opens a new, Untitled tab next to the already existing (see screen capture attached).
In my emacs window,
cmd-T opens the font menu. Is there a way to get
cmd-T to behave in Emacs as in MacVim or aquamacs?
Thanks in advance for your time!
