My issue is somewhat related to this question. I am trying to use the listings package's \lstinputlisting{path/to/code.py} command in orgmode (after setting up everything that needs to be set-up in order to use listings package).

Now, this did not happen in past and I did not update either Emacs or orgmode but all of the sudden the command \lstinputlisting{path/to/code.py} gets exported like this \lstinputlisting\{path/to/code.py\}. Obviously I can fix that with proper wrappings but I am using a custom latex class which has another macro that inserts images like this \fig{img0.png, img1.png}{caption}{label}. Now this command is exported verbatim without the braces being escaped.

What is causing this inconsistent behaviour? I am at Emacs 26.3 and Org mode version 9.4 (9.4-41-g9bb930-elpaplus @ [snip]/elpa/org-plus-contrib-20201116/)
