Using company-mode and yasnippet, when I tab, I can see my snippets in the drop down menu.

I'd like to not see them, and I'm not sure what variables to check out to make it so.

I looked through company's customization options, and there aren't any yasnippet related ones.

I saw this post, Get Company to show suggestions for Yasnippet names and tried copy pasting it into my config, and changing (defvar company-mode/enable-yas t to (defvar company-mode/enable-yas nil, to no avail.

I'm getting pretty close with this:

(set (make-local-variable 'company-backends)
  '((company-bbdb company-semantic company-cmake company-capf company-clang company-files
)))

which drops some stuff from what company's default backends were, still trying to figure out which of these is puttin snippets in.

....

Okay, so what I've figured out is that company-capf is the culprit of...all the completions I'm getting in lsp-mode. So I can't just pluck it out and take the yasnippet completions with it, unless I want NO completions at all.

This seems like an issue for the lsp-mode team, so I'm going to drop them an issue now.
