I have the following question regarding org-mode tables:

I have the following simplified org-mode table with:
A,B as arguments or parameters
and C1, C2 results or return values.

#TBLNAME: function
| A          |  3 |
| B          |  4 |
| C1(A+B)    |  7 |
| C2(A*B)    | 12 |
#+TBLFM: @3$2=@1+@2::@4$2=@1*@2

I want to call function table with:
Given variables at column A,B
Get results at columns C1,C2 using function table.

#+TBLNAME: results-table
| A | B | C1  | C2  |
|---+---+-----+-----|
| 1 | 2 | ... | ... |
| 2 | 3 | ... | ... |
| 3 | 4 | ... | ... |

Is this possible?

  • Why do you need the function table at all? A formula #+TBLFM: $3 = $1 + $2 :: $4 = $1 * $2 on results-table is enough. – NickD May 3 at 17:22
  • It is simplified example. Function table includes a lot of variables and calculations. I want to run through one of them to see how it affects results. – philnik May 3 at 18:46
  • I'm afraid that the question is extremely unclear: if you can explain in more detail what you want, please do so; otherwise, the question will probably be closed. – NickD May 3 at 22:33
