helm-for-files opens in full buffer, which I wanted to see it in full window (same window). I believe it is opening in full window is due to following lines according to How to configure a command to open in same-window unless already open in active frame?:

(add-to-list 'display-buffer-alist
             '("*Help*" display-buffer-same-window))

Due to this setting, helm-all-mark-rings opens in full window too.

Instead how could I configure helm-all-mark-rings to open in split window, while keeping helm-for-files to open in full window.

My configuration:

(helm-mode 1)
(setq helm-split-window-inside-p nil ; open helm buffer inside current window, not occupy whole other window
      helm-display-header-line nil ; t by default
helm-move-to-line-cycle-in-source t ; move to end or beginning of source when reaching top or bottom of source.
      helm-ff-search-library-in-sexp t ; search for library in `require' and `declare-function' sexp.
      helm-scroll-amount 8 ; scroll 8 lines other window using M-<next>/M-<prior>
      helm-ff-file-name-history-use-recentf t
      helm-echo-input-in-header-line t)

(add-to-list 'display-buffer-alist
             '("*Help*" display-buffer-same-window))
