I am looking into improving electric behaviour and stability of the syntax colourization of Erlang code done by the erlang-mode of erlang.el.
While looking into this I noticed that the colorization of a variable would disappear if I execute backward-delete-char-untabify
with point at (just before) the first character of a variable name (like before the B22
of the example) on the first column) and reappear if I execute erlang-electric-newline
.
The line of Erlang code is:
B22 = << <<Bin/binary>> || Bin <- [<<3,7,5,4,7>>] >>.
When B22
is showing in colour, I get the following info for the character B
from (what-cursor-position t)
:
...
There are text properties here:
face font-lock-variable-name-face
fontified t
And when it has no colour, the face disappeared and it only shows:
...
There are text properties here:
fontified t
Where should I start looking to make the colour stick if the Erlang code remains valid?
